Doh, of course.  Standard square steel tubing nests quite nicely. 2" 
square tubing with 1/4" wall just slip fits 1 1/2" tubing, for 
instance.  You might need to do a bit of "selecting" of pieces to 
find sections where the inside weld bead doesn't stick out.
