[TowerTalk] Shunt-Fed Tower Electrical Length

Just thinking about this question says one of three answers might work  here:
1> add top loading and be ready to adjust for your favorite  frequency.
 
2> measure the R +j of the existing shunt feed and build up a matching  
network for each frequency of interest. The usual shunt feed matching network  will 
likely provide much of the matching capability needed.
 
3> a combination of both 1 and 2 to allow improved/optimized  bandwidth.

an efficient  way to go.  Sounds like you wouldn't need a whole ton of
it to get  down to resonance on 160, but I guess you already have a big
beam on top if  a 68' tower is resonant just above 160

I'm sure there's a base matching  method you could use as well, but I
don't know  it.
