[TowerTalk] Stacking Suggestions Please

Thanks Mark for the vote of confidence. Installing the mast will be
tricky no doubt about that. I don't like the idea of climbing a mast
either and will probably work out a way to lower the mast while it is in
the tower.

I ran the configuration past Tom DF2BO the designer of the Optibeam
products and he suggested that the 6m antenna would be best mounted half
way between the 40m antenna and the HF beam, with a separation of 6.5
feet between the 6m beam and each of the others. The interaction
according to Tom would be seen on the 6m antenna and could be minimized
if the 40m beam was turned 90 degrees.

Not sure how the VHF/UHF beam will play with the others.

Given your restrictions, Ed, I am thinking you've got it - you will be
in
for years of fun with this set-up. Have at it. You need to be careful
with
that 15 feet of mast up there - I don't know the Super Titan tower and
wouldn't climb 10 feet above it unless I was real comfortable with it.
That's would be MY biggest hurdle in putting this up as you describe.

For me, climbing masts is never any fun but some configurations are more

tolerable than others. Don't use water pipe.

73 - Mark, N5OT
