You folks (you know which ones) are not representative of the  friendly hams
that I have known in my associations.
 
Do not jump on these folks who ask questions which, at first  glance, might 
have not had obvious answers.  Some folks are just plain,  simple "new" to our 
trade and are learning.  I certainly needed lots of  help to become a ham and 
then to become computer literate.
 
Try being just a bit more polite.
 
Lots of you worked it in two steps when multiplying by 3.28  would have been 
much easier:
 
3.28 times 401 yields 1315+ feet.
