Talk to the guys that repair them for a living, just like one would research
a car

Suggest you contact Norms and C.A.T.S. , a Google search should lead you to
them
let them tell you how wonderful the Yaesu rotators are to repair and that
may guide you

A small prop pitch would be the cats meow

That's what I use in a LM-470D to turn a MonstIR SteppIR and a 80 mtr F12
