The PL0259 is NOT a 50 ohm connector while the "N" connector is 50 ohms.

p.s. Solder the braid at the point where it enters the connector at the rear
end. Don't use those ridiculous little holes. Use a Weller D-550 or D-650
gun and life will be good.
