This is hard to answer without knowing who you wish to communicate with or 
more importantly what angle of radiation do you wish to cover.  Once you 
know this, it's easy to model both antennas and see which would be more 
effective for YOU.

I was wondering if an 80 meter Inverted L would be an improvement over my 80
meter Inverted Vee? The Vee is 60' high and I was thinking about a 40' high 
by
44' long for the Inverted L. Any suggestions?
