If you don't mind the White color, I sealed mine with
Dow Corning 738 RTV sealant

It is non UV so no problem with sun
and has very high  high voltage withstanding dielectric

I also wrote an article on how to rebuild Telrex traps so
they don't flash over the doorknob caps
