[TowerTalk] 10M Beam Question

I had the 105CA and the 155CA up for a while and I had a lot of trouble with
the design. I roped the elements, etc but had vibration problems that caused
the elements to break on both antennas (the 10 was particularly bad.) I know
others that haven't had the problem and Hygain replaced the broken elements
each time but after three repair jobs, I junked them and bought the KLM 6
element 10 and 15. The problem stopped after replacing them. I don't have
much wind so I don't know the cause but they certainly did sing in the
breeze!

I wasn't real impressed with the 105CA performance wise. It just didn't have
the impact that I expected. I had the antenna at 90 feet and it may have
been too high. You might want to consider another design.

Good luck
Bill, W5VX
