I can see taping only to the boom if you have only one antenna on the mast.
If there is more than one antenna on the mast, you almost have to tape the
cables to the mast below the bottom antenna, before starting the loop.
Right?

I'm not clear on why you want to tape the coax to the mast. Mine is
taped to the boom, circles around the mast and is taped to the tower.
Never touches the mast at all. By taping to the mast you are reducing
the radius of the circle and I don't see why you would want to do
that.

What does taping to the mast gain you?
