To save money, I used to buy zinc plated muffler clamps w/saddles
from Dorman and then put SS nuts on them, but the local distributor
stopped carrying them (they only carried the unplated clamps after
that). These were only a couple of bucks a piece and out here in
southern California the longevity of the cheap plating is pretty good.
