There is a campground about 12 miles north of Coos Bay, and right where you 
turn to go into the campground, there are some high tension wires that cross 
the entrance.

Every time I drive under these, whatever AM station I am listening to goes 
up about 3 times in strength.  I always wondered what would happen if I sat 
under those wires in my mobile and operated :-)  Might have a 150 mile long 
antenna.  73
