Unfortunately, Jerry (I assume he's a Fluid Motion employee) initially told
him that the problem was in the power supply and not the antenna so AH6FC
installed the antenna. Now it appears that he has to take it down, repair
it and reinstall it, which is never a pleasant task. Bill, hopefully the
new motor will work for you!

John

So much for our collective speculation, and So Good, for
steppIR's customer support efforts:

Subject: [TowerTalk] SteppIR problem-update from the front lines
Greetings to all Tower Talkers,

I wanted to provide an update to all that offered
lot's of very thoughtful suggestions with the problems
I was having with my new 4 Element. Though this is a
SteppIR specific issue, you all contributed a whole
lot of help to the evaluation process...THANK YOU!

Though a final diagnosis will probably only be
available after autopsy of the reflector motor, which
seems to have been the problem or a significant part
of the problem.

and so it goes. Kudo's to Mike Mertel for taking care of his
client.
