[TowerTalk] K3VW vs K9AY transformer?

What, please, are the reasons to prefer either a K3VW
9:1 beverage impedence transformer or a K9AY transformer?

After 30+ years it still "feels" odd laying an antenna
on or near to the ground ... but they work!  :-)
