[TowerTalk] One DB

Many years ago I was periphally involved (did a lot of the grunt work) with
the first ham EME QSO by Sam Harris, W1FZJ/W1BU and W6AY at Eimac, on 1296.
All the trials leading up to and including the final QSO were recorded by
both a chart recorder and audio tape.
Sam had them synchronized and the chart was a good 3-4dB better than the
audio. It was amazing what 1 dB did for audio intelligability. From that day
on I counted dB's by the tenths.
