I didn't know there were two different versions of the 8 pin DIN plug, 
so that's something new I learned today.

Universal Radio at  
http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/parts/dinconn.html
has one with a 270 degree spread for $3.29 and one which they call the 
Kenwood type with a 262 degree spread for $5.99.

Another website at 
http://www.showmecables.com/showproducts.asp?category_id=357 also shows 
both of them, and again the 262 degree version is more expensive.

With only an 8 degree difference in pin spread I think it would be 
nearly impossible to tell them apart without actually trying to insert 
them in the jack. The question is which one does Yaesu use?
