[TowerTalk] Generator (natural gas) and lightning

I am contemplating using a natural gas powered Kohler generator to
create electricity for the equipment at the remote site.
 
This will save me from having to put in a costly Electric Company
hookup.  The gas company hookups are pretty cheap in comparison.
 
So when lightning inevitable strikes the radio system do I have an
explosion risk?
