     I hope you meant to write <five cubic YARDS> for your tower's hole.  In any case, check out Scott's KA9FOX web pages for his first self-supporting tower at http://www.qth.com/ka9fox/tower/ .  I used his photos to guide my Trylon's construction in 2001.

Can anyone supply me with some photos of a tower base being-dug/dug? I need 
about 5 cubic feet and it's rather difficult to explain to a 
non-communications person what I am wanting done and doing.
