I think the large salt "dome" under the ground here might have
something to do with the high number here in KS. The deposit
is big enough to warrant a large salt mining operation nearby in
Hutchinson. The mine is so big it is a tourist attraction with
underground tours available.
I could be wrong but that much salt might be it....
