If Alox is the same as Noalox, Pentrox and the other materials used to 
prevent galvanic action while maintaining a good electrical connection 
they come off easily using Mineral Spirits, or Acetone, although Acetone 
is a bit harsh so beware the fumes and wear rubber gloves.   I  should 
have said they come off everything easily except skin or clothes.
