[TowerTalk] Fwd: More Inverted L Information from My Setup

How about adding a coil to your feed point. That way you get a simple
antenna tuner that can tune most anything. I any using that all the time for my
LW-s, ladder fed Windom etc. A 600 pF together with a coil about 4" dia, 6" long
and about 70 turns of #14 wire should work.

Put the cap in serie and then the coil to ground, depending on if you have
to Z-down or up for the feed or antenna point.

Simple, cheap. It works for me every time.

Thanks for the new data. EZNEC says that should be a good match for 75
ohm line. The insulated wire makes a significant difference. I can't
imagine that you would actually have an SWR of 2.8. What are you using
to measure the SWR? If it is an antenna analyzer you may be suffering
from the same problem many of us have, overload from AM broadcast
stations. Try measuring it with a rig using a little power.
