[TowerTalk] HF6V v. HF6VX vertical; current balun question

What's the difference between the Butternut (Bencher) HF6V and HF6VX?

HRO offers the 'VX for sale - not the 'V.

But the 6 products listed on the Bencher "Antenna Products" web page include
only the 'V (together with the Skyhawk, Skylark, HF2V, HF5B, and HF9V).
(Their list of old manuals indicates the 'VX was sold from 1987 to 1997.)

Separately, I understand the HF6V/VX uses a quarter wave section of 75 ohm
line to transform the higher 20m impedance down to match the 50 ohm shack
feedline. 'Any pros/cons to using a current balun (common mode choke)
between that transform section and the shack feedline? Or, since the balun
would not effect any impedance transformation, perhaps it should be inserted
between the vertical base and the quarter wave matching section.

'Thoughts?
