[TowerTalk] ICE information

I had a 303U smoke in the middle of a zone 19 UA0 qso on 160 just about 1 
year ago.  I really needed that one and still do.
 
I called ICE (many times before I got a warm body) and was assured a 
replacement would be sent.  Seemed reasonable considering the nearly kilobuck I spent 
on their stuff a couple months prior.
 
 2 months later, still no replacement.  I called back (again, many many calls 
before getting a warm body) asking about status and to add a couple RX style 
boxes for beverages (OK, semi custom, since I wanted F connectors)...
 
I am still waiting - nearly a year later.
 
All things considered, ICE stuff side by side with Polyphaser (I have some of 
that too) looks much better.  Dealing with ICE is another story.  It is sort 
of like a Bill and Ted experience.  Catch them on a good day and you are in 
business...  Catching them and keeping their attention is a real problem.
