[TowerTalk] EWE resistor question

i just install a ewe receiving antenna for 75 and 160 (receiving).
i read sometime ago about a variable resistor to be use at the 
null section of the antenna. it was a variable resistor with only 2 connection
do any one could tell me where to fine one or any other variable method to use?.
