Thanks all for the replies. I need to determine how the thing is 
currently wired before doing anything.
It has the limit switch package which adds a little to the complexity 
but the consensus is to make sure  what's there before going ahead with 
anything.
As soon as the wx permits I will open the control box and try to figure 
it out.
