In the early chapters of his book <The Grounds for Lightning
Protection>, Roger Block delves into a bit of the math to calculate voltage
rise due to lightning strikes on towers. You know, el dee aye dee tee
stuff. The entire book is a worthwhile read for us tower owners especially.

Also on the Polyphaser web pages you can find these white papers on
lightning protection theory and practice:
http://www.polyphaser.com/technical_notes.aspx .
