[TowerTalk] Will a beverage work when mounted on a fence?

Hi Guys,
 
My neighbor has a 6' high fence 350' on each side.  If I  attach an Insulated 
 #14 wire to the top of the fence, without  spacers, will the beverage work 
better than a bed spring?  I don't think  this can be modeled!  Anyone tried it?
