[TowerTalk] Johnson Matchbox coil

Super glue will most likely just oxidize on the plastic used to make these coils.  Duco Cement or hot melt glue are probably better.  I used GC service cement and Duco cement quite often on repairs with various plastic and find they work and super glue will not.  Superglue is great for attaching fake fingernails or placing a steel block onto your safety helmet and attaching it to a steel girder ( and I'd bet the block is a magnet).

Also Plexiglass, Lexan, G-10 stock and the acrylic that Lowe's sells for windows work fine for coil spacers.  I found a site some time ago where a fellow uses a sheet of lexan and drills 2 parallel rows of holes the size of the wire gauge for the coil spacing the holes on pitch for the TPI of the coil.  He then cuts the sheet and winds the coil through the holes.  There are several variations of this, but too much to explain in this forum.
