[TowerTalk] Wilson WR-1000 pot and repair

I have one of these and the pot or gearing to pot has gone bad.  Anyone taken one of these apart?  Any guidance would be appreciated.  
Rotor rotates fully and shows South at full rotation CW (looking from top). When moving CCW it shows South at approximately 270 degrees of actual rotor position.
At the 270 degree point, the resistance is below 20 ohms (500 ohm pot)
