Beware that much of the LMR-400 type cable available at attractive prices has aluminum braid, which
requires special crimp-on connectors.  The original LMR-400 and CNT-400 has copper  braid over the
aluminum foil shield and can use regular solder-on PL259s.  Be sure you are getting what you think
you're getting.  
 
Both Andrew and Times Microwave (the original LMR vendor) offer both standard LMR type cables
with the copper braid and "light weight" LMR type cables with the aluminum  braid.
