One last comment on cheap connectors.....
 
Some of the hamfest vendors of good quality connectors will cut you a  good 
deal on the PL-259s if you get at least 100 or more.  Find some of  your local 
club memebers and go partners with them on several  hundred.  
 
Of course if your club consists of mostly shack on the belt guys, you'll  
need several hundred club members to get that many! :-)
