Gene,

I probably missed some of the posts on this.

Is the rating for the KW-3000 specified for both pulling AND lifting?    The
specs on the 2550 are for lifting.  But
many winches ratings are only for pulling and would likely fail if being
used for lifting the same weight.

Thanks to the list for the responses and for the e-mails.

Consensus and experiences would indicate the KW-3000 is a more than adequate
direct replacement for the K2550.
