JBWeld is great when used for what it was designed to do. I'd not even consider it for use in or on an insulator or an antenna. Just consider it conductive. You depend on the whole insulator, not a thin layer between conductors. For splicing or repairing elements I'd use another tube of smaller diameter that just fits inside the broken tube. 73 Roger (K8RI)
