A big advantage is that it is a much better match to an open-wire feeder. This means there will be far less impedance changes vs feedline length or frequency change. So the impedance you get at the tuner end of the feedline will be relatively constant as you traverse the 40 m band. If you feed a single wire with open wire line you get an impedance at the tuner that can be rather high, or very low, depending on the length. And at some points along the line the voltage will be extremely high.
