[TowerTalk] Antenna/tower Equipment Box

Yeah... Roger had bees or wasps or the like in one of his antenna
baluns... a similar problem. I forget what he used to fill the box,
and still keep the moisture and bugs out, while letting the thing breathe.
Otherwise, some guys pot the entire box in epoxy - keeps bugs and
moisture out, but is somewhat permanent.

They sell this certain coarse fiber product news's and crannies along
your residential baseline, to keep the critters and bugs from crawling
up into your house, like into the base of your sighting, or where there
are little cracks or fissures, or separations etc. and this allows the
area to breathe, while keeping the critters out.

An idea I had for an affordable antenna connection box is to use an
outdoor electrical power receptacle cover, and drill out the inner plate
to accept SO-239 connectors (and one F connector) and use a bulkhead
connector or similar SO-239 on a face plate inside. A metal plate can
be drilled out to go under the mounting screws as a common grounding
plate. I can show pictures if any one is interested...

Inexpensive, weather tight, and wife-approved design.
