That goes against basically what our code says and standard grounding

Ground the shield at the base of the tower, put the Polyphaser at the 
house entrance.
They also say you don't need to run a ground between the house and tower 
as beyond some distance the tower doesn't know the house is there which 
is a half true statement.  Depending on the rise time (Dv/Dt) that 
distance can be short or very long.
