Within this past year I re-installed my 61' Heights tower with a SteppIR 3L
w/30-40M DE plus a 5L Directive Systems 6M beam. I did all the work myself
except the excavating. The tower is 110' from the house. Below are the
costs I incurred:

Ground wire, 400' #2 $350.00
Hole 4' diameter x 9' deep $500.00
Concrete $850.00
Permit $65.00
Stone $170.00
Ground rods and Cadweld $791.98
Conduit $150.00
Trench $186.00
Feedline, LDF4 $600.00
SPG box $200.00
Tower box $56.00
ICE arrestors $275.00
Feedline misc $79.43
Rotor cable $120.00

Total $4,393.41

Subject: [TowerTalk] Tower installation costs

I'm considering installation of a tower and would like to develop a
reasonably good estimate of cost. I can probably work through the
materials part of the cost and feel comfortable with that part of the
estimate.

I don't think I can do much of the work myself and so need to get a
sense of the cost to have others do the installation.

Are there any rules of thumb that might be useful in estimating mandays
needed to install foundations and erect a guyed tower? To install a yagi
with feedline?

Other ways to estimate mandays and dollars?

Thanks.
