[TowerTalk] Tool for soldering PL-259 coaxial connectors?

I received my new Garrett Wade tool catalog in the mail today.  They had an 
interesting new tool for soldering copper pipe (see below).  I wonder if 
anyone has ever tried using this tool to solder the outer shell of PL-259s? 
Kind of an expensive thing to try and not sure if it would offer any 
advantages to standard heavy duty soldering irons.....

BTW...Garrett Wade is one of my favorite tool catalogs.  While primarily 
geared toward wood workers they do have some really unique tools and the 
quality is excellent.
