I'll stick my neck out and play devils advocate here. Kirk does very 
well in contests and always seems to have a good signal on the bands. 
AC1O/4 used one of those big Moseley beams when he was active from Port 
St. Lucie, Fl about 15 years ago. He produced some outstanding scores. I 
realize those are unscientific anecdotal observations that don't prove 
anything and nobody wants to admit that they spent a lot of money on a 
lemon, but is it possible that the Moseley has a consistency problem and 
that Steve and Ward tested a dud that wasn't representative of typical 
performance?
