[TowerTalk] Thrust bearing / rotor load

Paul,

I inquired directly to Rohn for a definitive answer to this pesky question.
Contrary to the definition of "thrust bearing" that appears in other
sources, Rohn says their TB series are meant only to bear lateral loads
(i.e., loads perpendicular to the the bearing's axis of rotation); they are
not meant to bear vertical loads (i.e., loads parallel to the the bearing's
axis of rotation).
