[TowerTalk] Receiving antennas

Honestly there is no one great solution. They may all work better in
certain conditions.

I have two of the DXE 4 sq rcv arrays and they work great. I intend some
day to either put up a couple of Beverages or a K9AY loop to listen at 0/180
90/270.

There will be some compromises in regard to 160/80/40 coverage. What works
best for 160 may not be as good on 40. So you need to choose what bands are
most important.

The 4sq and the loops don't take up as much real estate but may require some
or a lot of radials to work best. If you use ladder line you can make a two
direction beverage very easily.

You might also search the topband reflector archives and the archives here
for other comments.
