[TowerTalk] Tower insurance

There was a good article recently in QST on this subject. This article
prompted me to get off my butt and follow up on this stuff, esp. since
I just completed a tower installation.  As the article stated its your
insurance agent's job to answer your questions - they take a cut of
your payment so - why not make them do something to earn it. Without
getting into details - you basically should ask them how your antenna
structure is covered and to what amount - if you aren't happy then you
might have to change you homeowners coverage or get a rider
(additional specific coverage).  I doubt it necessary (the rider).
Also as that QST article suggests - you should look into a Personal
Liability Umbrella Policy. I ended up getting that too in addition to
checking my insurance coverage on my tower.  -Scott, WU2X
