[TowerTalk] US Tower MA-550 Eave Mounting

Anyone have experience doing a GABLE mount instead of eave mount for the MA-550?  This would be on my workshop / ham shack, so noise is not my concern.  Any problems getting a building permit for the gable mount, instead of eaves as shown in the US Tower document?

I was planning on adding diagonal structural support to transfer the stress to rafters and sidewalls.

Also, is it possible to tilt over the MA-550 with the standard base, using appropriate building-mounted pulleys and a ground winch with a dual drum.  I have only seen the free-standing MARB type base.
