[TowerTalk] multi conductor wire

I have a large spool of 4 conducter shielded wire (approx 22 gauge wires) that is surplus to my needs. I want to consider using it as an inverted L antenna wire on 160M. Would I experience any unanticipated effects from wrapping the 4 wire ends and the shield together on each end to essentially make it a single conductor?  Would it also act as a single conductor if done the same way and used for a ground radial?  Opinions welcomed.
