[TowerTalk] Ham Radio family electrocuted

I agree with John

Especially after being on this reflector and hearing stories as a Ham even before the internet.

But also take into consideration, that these antennas, especially some verticals seem very 'easy' to erect, so most uninitiated
would think 'no big deal, just put her together and put her up'.

I have guard signs around all my stuff Towers and ALL, so people will hopefully go no where near it.

As soon as I can afford it I am buying some of those no climb pain in the #$% plates that mount to the tower at the bottom, and mine
is only 30 feet high.

Most of my masts are fiberglass not metal. I live out in the country and have no power poles everything is underground, I just do it
for safety.

Personally, I like the "just in case, you never know" kind of safety rules. I worked in the oil field and learned, that when it
comes to safety related matters --

'over kill' is spelled the same as 'never kill'
