A skyloop can be a good compromise, all band, antenna solution for lots of folks...
I had a coax fed, horizontal loop cut for 40 meters at 18 feet above ground, primarily for a listening antenna and I was pleasantly surprised how many DX contacts I made with it...

For local ragchews, the horizontal worm burner can be a killer antenna...
