Wind loading a guyed tower increases both guy tension AND tower compression forces. Furthermore both forces will increase for a given wind load as the guy angle is steepened.

If the force of wind blows across guys would be transferred as downward
force through the tower to the base, then guy anchors would be a piece of
cake.
IMHO only the pre tension force and weight of the guys will add to downward
force to the base.
