Thanks to all for the responses to my "simple" question.  I guess the bottom
line is that

there is no simple answer.  After meeting and talking to a couple
prospective neighbors

I get the feeling that, although I may be within my rights to put up a
tower, I certainly would

not be the most popular new member of the neighborhood and so have decided
to pass

on the property.  There are plenty of other sites out there!
