"What are you going to do with the large concrete/rebar base when your lease
expires?"
Actually I don't have to sign a lease. It stays , the landlord doesn't really
care , however , the base will be in an area that I can (and will) easily cover
it up with dirt when I leave. Actually I don't have to sign a lease....
"Did you get a building permit? Are you in conformity with the
local zoning regs?"
As luck would have it I don't need that stuff in this township , I talked to the
zoning guy and he said they have nothing on the books for ham radio towers , and
to go ahead , if wanted him to look at it he would stop by and do just that,
look at it... this is a rural area... there is no cable or internet there either
:-(
"Are you putting down a lightning protection system that
you can remove when you move out?"
I will be doing what I can , and once again when I leave it stays , this isn't
your normal land lord as you can tell , I am actually doing them a favor by
moving into the place.

Has your landlord given written permission?
I had a ham neighbor who moved into a rental house 1000' from me. He
erected a small crank-up that didn't require a concrete base. He had no
building permit, wasn't in compliance with the required setbacks, and had it
in his front yard. He had no idea what the county planning and development
department required. Fortunately he moved when his one-year lease expired.
Insurance is just one of the considerations.
