Hi Doug

Don't know about your location, but here in Oregon, the Red Tailed Hawk is 
on the endangered species list.

Harming one, a chick or eggs, will get you a HEFTY fine.  You might want to 
check with some one in Fish and Game and let them know it's there.

When I worked in the woods for Weyerhaeuser, someone fell a tree with a 
RTH's nest in it and our company was in deep doodoo.  They thought about 
just not saying anything about it, but found if they didn't and some one 
found out, they would be in deeper doodoo.   73
